GLDD is up over 12% and now above the top band that was at $9.49. The stock was also at an RSI of 68 and with this price increase would put it in an overbought level. Also, it appears the MACD was about to cross to the downside (bottom part of chart, black line crossing underneath the red line). This is a low volume stock with 10 days to cover the current short position so there might be a few panic buys in the morning since the stock has had a strong run as of late (50 day moving average is in the $7's), but I don't see this after hours gain holding and would think that the top band at $9.49 could come into play.

May 30th - CLF

Cramer started out by saying he thinks eBay and Yahoo! should join forces and would buy this new company hand over fist. BUT he said he isn't interested in owning either on their own right now, so no pick to analyze for shorting.

Next Cramer recommended Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. (CLF) based on someb takeover rumors. The stock closed today just over $80 so is too expensive for my style, not to mention the takeover rumors, if true, could keep the stock strong and of course you wouldn't want to get stuck short if an offer was made.

The air was taken out the after hours action as Cramer stressed for people to wait for a pullback in the stock, taking the stock down 10% from the after hours run up (ouch!). So with the stock up only 3 cents, and a long weekend for people to ponder this pick I'm not sure we are going to see much action Tuesday. If people do some technical analysis of this over the weekend they will see that it could be a little toppy with an RSI over 70, the MACD looking like it is about to cross over to the downside and near the top band of the bollinger, but not over. If the price does get back up to the after hours high level then a short could be in order, or even over the top band level of $9.21 near the open, but that's a big IF i think.

May 24th - GOOG

The next installment of the DOW stocks being analyzed looked at IBM, JNJ, MCD, JPM, MRK and MSFT. As I have said all week, I'm not really going to look at the short side of these stocks since they aren't really picks.

Next Cramer looked at Google (GOOG) and said it was on its way to $1000, but headed to $600. Cramer said the catalyst for this is Amazon (AMZN) and its big recent run, which makes GOOG look cheaper. I don't like to short stocks above the $40 level, let alone the $400+ level, and I even have a rule not to short stocks pegged as "the next Google", so I really don't think shorting Google itself off a Cramer recommendation is a wise move even though it has been treading water for a long time.

The bollinger bands were getting pretty tight of late according to the chart which means there was very low volatility. The price went from the top band to the middle band over the last 2 days and settled just below the middle band which was at $26.90. Yahoo Finance has an estimated growth percentage of 13.5% and remember Cramer is willing to pay 2 times growth in terms of p/e, so a p/e of 27 would be fair value. The current p/e is nearly 30. So either Cramer thinks that the growth estimate is wrong and should be higher or this isn't a long term hold stock and more of a trade. The stock also trades at a rather low volume with a float of only 31,310,000 shares. The after hours price had a steady increase to settle in around the $28 level, which could be a resistance point tomorrow so I would look to short above $28 if possible.

Cramer continued his look at the stocks from the Dow Jones Industrial Average and looked at CAT, C, KO, DD, XOM, and GE. I'm not going to look at these for shorting since they aren't really picks. Cramer did put price predictions on the stocks, but again, we know Cramer is following an alphabetic order with the DOW stocks (by company name, not stock code) so there is no reason for these to be bid up insanely.

The stock is now well above the top band that was at $13.94. There are some other bullish signals for the stock as the MACD just crossed to the upside and the RSI was still below overbought levels. Since this is a commodity driven stock (Natural Gas) I don't like to short those since a strong day for the price of Natural Gas can propel the stock, even though the stock is up a lot after hours. The stock did have a big day yesterday as it held gains of over a dollar on the day, so its not out of the question the stock could stay strong tomorrow. The question is though...can it hold 2 strong days within a 3 day span? I would think a drop below $15 is a strong possibility (it may even go below that with the continued after hours tonight, so this is no big prediction on my part). The 200 day moving average is also at $15.10, so there should be some resistance at this level as people how have bought at higher levels may look to get out near even. And if you look at the chart above you can see that the stock has failed once already at trying to break the $15 level. I would look to cover quickly and set a tight stop loss in case there is a lot of short covering.

Finally Cramer recommended Mastercard Incorporated (MA) which had a closing price of $138.73, so it is too expensive here.

May 21st - TSS

This week Cramer is going to look at all 30 DOW components to see what he expects them to do in the upcoming year (as he has predicted the index to go well over 14,000). People may buy the stocks in hopes people will buy them as he mentions them through out the week, but there is no secret here, and no real reason for these stocks to pop creating a shorting opportunity.

The stock was hanging around the top level of the bollinger band ($32.47), and with the after hours action it is well above it now. The current short days to cover is pretty pretty high since this is a low volume stock on recent average. This could cause some panic buying, but since the short data (from shortsqueeze.com) might be a little dated that short percentage might be lower now...the reason I think that is because the 200 and 50 day moving averages are both below the current price, so the stock is above its average price over those time lines. This means that anyone who is short the stock in the last 200 days is likely down on that trade and may have covered already to avoid bigger losses. I would also like to point out that the PEG ratio is currently close to 2. This means that the stock is fairly valued according to one of Cramer's rules that he will pay two times the growth rate for a company. These small ones are tricky because they can move it small dollar amounts but big percentage amounts. Looking at the chart the after hours price is still below the top band of $4.98. The chart also shows that the stock hit a wall at the 20-day SMA. The news that Cramer said could move this stock isn't going to hit Monday, so this has a chance to go down considering it was down today. $5 will be an important number to watch and I could see that being the top if it even goes that high and could be a good short entry area.

Stock is still below the top band at $33.34 with the after hours around $32. The stock was showing some weakness as it retreated from the top band, MACD crossed to the downside recently and coming off an overbought indication with an RSI near 70. $32 could be the high point for early trading Monday and could have a quick drop off from that point if it opens that high. It may not come close to $32 though if this cools off over the weekend, but I could still see this coming down to the $31.50 area.

The price is a little high for my taste, and I think the lack of volume could mean there are some strong hands holding the stock or maybe an inability or unwillingness to short the stock to create some supply. Or maybe people just don't like the french?
