May 2nd - CGV VE

Cramer focus tonight was French stocks. His first play was Compagnie Gnrale de Gophysique-Veritas (CGV) <<==Click for Instant Homework!

Closing Price: $42.64
After Hours High: $43.92
Percent Increase at High: 3.0%
After Hours Most Recent: $43.85
Percent Increase at Most Recent Price: 2.8%
Sector: Basic Materials
Days to Cover: 6.7
Short %: 7.08 %
% Held by Insiders: 0.40 %
% Held by Institutions: 2.70 %
50 Day Moving Average: $41.14
200 Day Moving Average: $37.24

It doesn't appear there are a lot of sellers of this stock after hours as there was a large gap between the bid and the ask. A lightly traded stock (under 200k shares traded today), so maybe just not a lot of owners who watch Cramer. As of typing this there were only 2500 shares traded after hours. The price is a little high for my taste, and I think the lack of volume could mean there are some strong hands holding the stock or maybe an inability or unwillingness to short the stock to create some supply. Or maybe people just don't like the french?

The second French play was Veolia Environnement SA (VE)

Closing Price: $84.35
After Hours Most Recent: $85.36
Percent Increase at Most Recent Price: 1.2%
Sector: Utilities
Days to Cover: 2.1
Short %: 0.06 %
% Held by Insiders: 10.50 %
% Held by Institutions: 1.70 %
50 Day Moving Average: $74.10
200 Day Moving Average: $64.80

Even fewer shares traded after hours here (1,500) and a smaller percentage increase. Not for me here.

Tracker,

Has ShortSqueeze.com ever been wrong about it's data? EWM seems to be running along pretty nicely w/ no bad news, but the short is up by 210%

Also they dont seem to have any other data on any of the other Asian ishare ETFs.
