Do you look for at least a 3% increase?
I would agree that the market was certainly the big factor today that helped bring down GPS. I wouldn't say I look for an exact percentage but do want to see the stock show some sort of spike in price during the pre-market or more so the opening bell. If the open is well below the after hours price and minimal gains overall (and most picks don't go into the red like GPS today did) then I don't see enough downside to bother with. I also want to see enough room on the downside so that psychological floors don't come into play (like whole numbers) or support levels at moving average prices.
